Featured Poet (7): Lucia Perillo
Lucia Perillo has written two books of poetry, Dangerous Life (Northeastern University Press, 1989) and The Body Mutinies (Purdue, 1996). A new collection, The Oldest Map with the Name America, will be published in 1999 by Random House. Her poems have appeared in many U.S. magazines and have been selected for inclusion in the Pushcart and Best American Poetry anthologies; this is her first foreign publication. She teaches at Southern Illinois University but also maintains a home in Washington state, where her husband lives.
